  Azerbaijan contributes to UN peacekeeping missions – presidential aide 

Cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UN has a great future, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev told reporters in Shusha, AzVision.az reports. 

"The UN is sometimes criticized but participating countries must fulfill their obligations to the UN. All countries must fulfill their obligations under the Charter of UN," Hajiyev said.

Azerbaijan supports the principles of international law, which the UN Charter is based on, he stressed. 

Hajiyev said that Azerbaijan has contributed to the UN peacekeeping missions.

"Azerbaijani peacekeepers are serving in Sudan and other places," the presidential aide added.
